track 10 / 11
It was great to work with Beth Orton again after making “Alive Alone” together on the first album. I had the words written but knew it would be so much better with her singing, and it was. She suits this track perfectly.
People who aren’t necessarily into everything we’ve done, they hear this, they like it. I remember walking back from a rave we’d played in America. We’d just played and I was walking about past the campsites and saw some people who were all around a little cassette player listening to this. It’s a nice memory.
